In the summer, warm winds churn the water, sending it flying in all directions. These water dust fountains gave the stream and waterfall its name. Duration: 30 minutes.With its ten glacier waterfalls inside the mountain, made accessible by a tunnel lift, the Trümmelbach Falls are unique in Europe. The Trümmelbach alone drains the huge glacier walls of the Eiger (3970m), Mönch (4099m) and Jungfrau (4158m) with up to 20,000 liters of water per second from its catchment area of 24 square kilometers, half of which is covered with snow and ice. The Jungfrau-Aletsch region has been declared a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO.
